Sleeping

SLEEPING.

From the start, put your baby to sleep with normal household noise so she will not need silence to be able to sleep.

Strategy

DIAPERING.

Get all of your supplies ready BEFORE you lay your baby down to diaper – even pull out the wipes first.

Processes

BREASTFEEDING.

It doesn't have to hurt in the beginning. In fact, if it does hurt, you probably do not have the correct latch.

Network

BOTTLE FEEDING.

When your baby starts to get frustrated when eating, that means it’s time to switch to the fast-flow nipple.

Creative

SOLID FOODS.

Include your baby in your family meals before he is ready for solid foods so he can see how you eat and learn to imitate you.

Contact

SPIT-UP.

When you hear your baby burp, many times spit-up will follow; be prepared!

Being a parent is hard.

Being a parent is hard.

No one ever claimed that it was going to be easy.

It takes a lot of trial and error and a lot of hard work. That’s where we come in. We have been there.

We know babies don’t come with instruction manuals (but wouldn’t that be great if they did?). Our goal is to help out new moms and dads by sharing our experiences with you.

After all, it is always better to learn from someone else’s mistakes than your own. And between the nine kids we have, there have been a lot of mistakes. But we have triumphed over them and found little tricks to make caring for a newborn that much easier.

Our knowledge. Your benefit.

We have gathered together all of our best tricks that took us days, weeks, or months to figure out. And man, we sure wish we knew them from the get go! Hopefully, by sharing them with you, you will have an easier time figuring out the ropes with your newborn. Of course, we know that all babies are different, as they should be, but we are confident that many of these tricks will help make your life a little easier.
